Borja Odriozola

Spanish teacher online

Borja

My name is Borja Odriozola, and I was born in the Basque Country, a beautiful region in the north of Spain famous for its maritime tradition, the Basque language and the pintxos.

I love to travel, devour books and meet people from other cultures. By the way, Luna and Sua -my dogs- strolling around the office during our classes.

After graduating in journalism and Spanish teaching, I decided to throw myself into the world…. So far it’s been quite an adventure!

I learned Arabic in Tunisia, then I volunteered on a farm in Belgium. I worked at the United Nations in El Salvador and taught Spanish classes online with a US academy.

Now I live in Nicaragua, teaching Spanish online to people who want to travel and improve professionally. I also give free classes to volunteers from Eat United Nicaragua.

This is how I will help you with your Spanish

I received my ELE certification as a Spanish teacher in 2013.  Since then I’ve been working to offer the best possible experience. My methodology is practice oriented, and is always tailored to the needs of each student. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first contact with the language or if you are looking to improve your fluency, you will speak Spanish from day one.  In order to practice your Spanish between classes, I invite you to join the conversation groups.

I also know well the Spanish of different regions, so we will focus on the country that interests you. Classes include a unique system based on sign language to help you understand the basics of Spanish in a simple way. It also works great to reinforce grammar at more advanced levels. Best of all, you do not even need materials … just your hands! I’m sure you’ll enjoy my classes, I hope to see you soon!
